Supporting Los Angeles Communities Affected by Wildfires

At Levoit, we believe that home wellness extends beyond the walls of our homes—it’s about fostering healthier communities too. That’s why our team recently donated 1,000 air purifiers to Los Angeles County residents affected by the devastating wildfires. In times of crisis, clean air isn’t a luxury, it’s a necessity. 

What Should I Know About the Wildfires in Los Angeles?

In early January 2025, Los Angeles experienced several devastating wildfires, notably the Palisades Fire in Pacific Palisades, which destroyed over 6,000 structures, and the Eaton Fire in east Los Angeles, which destroyed over 9,000 structures. The fires, driven by exceptionally strong Santa Ana winds, have led to significant damage, loss, and displacement throughout the Los Angeles area.

Thousands of people in Los Angeles have lost their homes and communities, and even more are dealing with the after-effects of wildfires—particularly poor air quality due to lingering smoke and ash, which can cause respiratory issues, especially for vulnerable populations.

Standing Together: #LASTRONG 

The wildfires have taken a heavy toll on countless families, leaving behind not just destruction but also hazardous air quality that lingers long after the flames are extinguished. Understanding the urgency of the situation, we wanted to do our part in providing immediate relief. On January 21, our team distributed 1,000 air purifiers at four different community locations throughout Los Angeles. These air purifiers were then given to LA residents affected by poor air quality due to the wildfires.

Meeting so many resilient and inspiring individuals reinforced what it truly means to be LA Strong. This is a city built on unity, compassion, and the unwavering spirit of its people. 

The overwhelming sense of support we received from volunteers and community members was nothing short of incredible. From local leaders to everyday heroes stepping up to help their neighbors, the experience was a reminder of how strong we are when we come together.
